Additional Information for California Residents Regarding Paid Research Opportunity Participation and Financial Incentives 

We may offer opportunities to receive certain services or benefits such as, participation in paid survey or research opportunities, which may require the provision of personal information.  Such opportunities could be considered a financial incentive under California law (each, a “Research Opportunity” or “Opportunity"). 

When you agree to participate in a Research Opportunity, we collect your email address. We also collect data about you and your activities on Edison Mail and your engagement with any Research Opportunity, including survey responses and other information you provide, audio and video recordings, and we may derive inferences from that information. We may collect and disclose this and other personal information as described when you signed up for the Research Opportunity and as described elsewhere in this Policy.  We also may Sell or process data provided in connection with your Research Opportunity, including when we disclose it to business partners or customers, as described when you sign up for the Research Opportunity.

When you participate in a Research Opportunity, you agree to the terms of that Research Opportunity and may revoke your participation or opt-out of that Research Opportunity by contacting us as described in the applicable Research Opportunity terms research@edisonmail.com.  To the extent that you request the deletion of your information, you may no longer be eligible to participate in certain future Research Opportunities, as we require certain personal information to provide you access or manage your eligibility for participation.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails and retain your Research Opportunity benefits. 

The value of the payment to the participants in each Research Opportunity reflects our valuation of the Personal Information provided as part of that Research Opportunity, taking into account relevant overhead costs and expenses. We pay these expenses and provide the Research Opportunity benefits, which vary depending upon participation.
